Le Chapelet, The Rosary, is a two-headed Beeswax sculpture encased in a distorted steel cross, symbolizing both my heritage and the roots of religious civilization. Handcrafted with bent and hammered steel using traditional methods, the sculpture evokes the scent of burning beeswax—reminiscent of church rituals now fading as wax candles are replaced by electric ones. This work reflects my complex relationship with Catholicism, shaped by my mother's strict Catholic upbringing and my parents’ rejection of orthodox doctrines. Despite my aversion to Christianity, Parisian churches, with their beeswax candles and stained glass, rekindled an appreciation for Catholicism's aesthetic and spiritual dimensions.
